Meeting industry standards

Increasing numbers of UK employers seek to comply with the Health & Safety Executive’s “Stress Management Standards”, as well as operate within the framework of the European Foundation of Quality Management’s own Excellence Model. By recognising the impact of an organisation’s culture, its work practices and its relationships with its people, employers can target specific change initiatives to drive significant improvements across all operational areas.

Every organisation has its unique culture, staff and values. Therefore, initiatives that have worked well in one company – and are deemed “Best Practice” – may not work in the same way for another company. Any wellbeing initiative must be adopted and adapted to suit each organisation’s variable factors.

Similarly, the uniqueness of an organisation and its concerns will require a specific group of experts to help develop, implement and sustain effective wellbeing initiatives. The Transition Group has a network of Approved Partners whose experience of organisational concerns, within different industries, helps deliver personalised, valuable and sustainable solutions.

The Transition Group’s service is provided in three key components:

  • Audit
    The Transition Group audits the health and wellbeing of organisations and their staff. It then helps to structure and deliver totally focused and comprehensive change management programmes and employee wellbeing initiatives using a range of proven products and services.
  • Adopt
    We recognise that successful wellbeing strategies comprise a range of different initiatives. These address the particular issues, identified in the audit, for specific employee groups implemented over a planned time-frame.
  • Adapt
    The Transition Group advocates the importance of “adopt and adapt” – adopting the wellbeing initiatives before adapting them to suit the range of employees and the organisational culture. Such an approach increases the engagement of staff and enables wellbeing to be reinforced as part of a supportive culture.
